Today we will talk about the New York Islanders who joined the NHL in 1972 and have won . The Islanders are New York’s third teams to ever join the league .And you can consider Brooklyn New York right? But anyways Brooklyn’s team is not in the NHL it’s been about 50, 65 years since they have played a single game in the NHL.
The islanders had a record breaking Stanley Cup wining streak started as soon as they joined and finished in four years.
Their legend players are Clark Gillies, Denis Potvin, Pat Lafontaine, Brent Sutter, Billy Smith and John Toneli.
Also their current stars are Anders Lee, Mathew Barzal and Thomas Greiss.
