The Kentucky derby, which is the first race for the Triple crown, has been rescheduled due to the Covid 19. The race which was to be held at the Churchill downs racetrack in Louisville Kentucky on the 2nd of May, has now been moved to the 5th of September. Churchill downs CEO Bill Carstanjen said that their first priority is to do what is best to protect the health of their community, guests, and team members. Also saying that their hearts are with those who have been affected by the Coronavirus. Evidently we still have a while to see if there will be a Triple crown winner this year. The Preakness and Belmont stakes have been postponed, but we have yet to find out the new date.
One thing we do know is Secretariat sure knew how to practice social distancingđŸ˜‰ Thanks for reading, and stay tuned for upcoming posts.
